Meg Thompson, DVM, DACVR

Dr. Thompson is a Clinical Professor of Imaging at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She teaches anatomy, radiography and ultrasound.  She formerly served as Associate Dean of Hospital Operations at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2015 until 2024.  In 2021, she was appointed to the New York State Board of Veterinary Medicine and previously served as New York State Veterinary Medical Society President in 2017. 

Thompson received her DVM degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, completed an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital and imaging residency at University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.  She joined the Cornell faculty in 2006 after four years as faculty at the University of Florida. 

She loves interpreting routine and emergency radiographic and ultrasonographic studies and is interested in the role of AI in veterinary imaging.
